Archived: We’re making WordCamp accessible to everyone

We want to make sure that everyone can attend and enjoy their time at WordCamp in Porto.

When you invite your friends around for dinner it’s common to check for food allergies to ensure all your guests will be comfortable and safe, right? Imagine what it’s like when you’ve invited 3,000 people over – you need to consider so much more than just food allergens!

Just as our Code of Conduct requires us all to think about how we treat others, we have developed accessibility and inclusivity plans in order to attend to the needs of our many attendees – from access requirements, to hearing or visual impairments, to dietary needs and even general comfort.

If you’re concerned that something may prevent you from joining us in Porto this June, why not take a look at what we’re doing to help make it happen for you? Or, maybe you’re just curious to know what lengths we go to in order to fulfil our goal of being all inclusive.
